What on earth is the matter with Tabu? Last week, on the request of the gifted actress, visitors were barred from entering the sets of M F Husain`s Meenaxi - A Tale of Three Cities.
It was initially presumed that the actress was doing a particularly emotion-charged sequence and hence wanted complete peace. But when the real reason was revealed, the industry was taken aback. Tabu was in a skimpy outfit that left nothing to the imagination and, therefore, wanted only essential unit hands to be around.
The select few who watched her perform that day vouch that she carried off the outfit pretty well. But wonder why an actress of Tabu`s quality would agree to wear a costume that is best left to the less talented. If nothing else, it proves Husain`s power of persuasion.
